One of our National manufacturers are recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, to be based at their Buckinghamshire site.
To keep the factory running, our client is recruiting of a Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead and improve product output and quality whilst aiming for 100% machine availability.
CONTRACT OR PERMANENT ROLE AVAILABLE
The Role
The company have a great reputation within their industry for quality products and services and this, largely, is down to the quality, maintenance and continual running of their equipment and machinery.
Working as part of a team of two on the day shift your duties will include:
* The daily maintenance of all electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment, including industrial sewing machines.
* Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance checks including mechanical, electrical and calibration, react to production breakdowns and also undertake regular machinery inspections.
* Being proactive and understanding the financial implications of keeping the production lines moving and keeping breakdowns to an absolute minimum.
* Completing maintenance and engineering checklists to high levels.
* Looking at areas of improvement, playing an active part in project work and the installation of new equipment with company growth.
* Striving to improve manufacturing, quality and safety, working in a safe and appropriate manner at all times.
The Person
You are a multi skilled Engineer ideally from an FMCG or assembly manufacturing background with 3 years post qualification experience:
* Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification – ideally ONC/BTEC Level 3 or equivalent and ideally hold 17th edition wiring regulations.
* Strong knowledge and experience of practical machine fixing and part replacements, ideally industrial sewing machines.
* Willing to get your hands dirty!
* Excellent analytical approach to problem solving and diagnostics with a can do attitude.
* Reliable team player able to build trusting relationships with colleagues and work unsupervised when required.
* Good eye for detail and take pride in your work.
* Good communicator able to prioritise workload.
* Conversant with health and safety legislation and committed to following company H+S policies.
