Service Desk Procurement Manager
Salary – Competitive + Company Success Payment Scheme + Excellent Benefits Package

Due to our continued success as one of the country’s leading suppliers of heavy commercial vehicles we have an exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Procurement Manager
Based at our Head Office in Milton Keynes you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing of goods or services for the Scania GB IT function. Responsible for ensuring we obtain quality products or services at competitive prices in a timely fashion. Plays an integral role in ensuring Scania GB operates within budget and is able to achieve its procurement service level agreement.
Responsibilities:
Operational
Liaises with Scania GB IT to determine our product and service needs
Monitors product availability and the most competitive price for IT goods and services
Works closely with Scania Purchasing team and is aligned to the overall company procurement & vendor management strategy
Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best deal for Scania GB
Supports new product research and services to meet company goals
Tracks and reports against Scania GB IT purchases
Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing and distributing IT goods and services
Leadership
Oversees the day to day activities of procurement resources and activities
Key requirements for the role:
Ability to negotiate and network
Financial and contractual awareness
Good written and verbal communication
Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work under pressure and problem solve
Self- motivated and assertive
Flexible and adaptable to change
Education and/or Experience
Experienced in Scania GB Supply Chain Management is preferable
Ability to create procurement strategies
Ability to prepare weekly, monthly procurement reports
