A property developer are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work in the a commercial housing team based in Winslow,Buckingham

The role:
As an experienced Quantity Surveyor) you will perform the following duties:
Reporting to the Commercial Director with responsibility for the financial performance of house building and conversion projects.

Overall responsibilities of the role:
Project cost control – site budgets, value engineering, monitoring actual costs, monthly valuations, progress and stock on site.

Implement wherever possible value engineering solutions & strategy to optimise profit and efficiency for the business.

Attend project Team meetings, sharing site budgets, cost variances.

Sub-contractor enquiries, analysis and orders, including Roads, sewers & Groundworks.

Labour only estimates. Sub-contractor valuations – progress, site measurements, variations, retentions, contra charges and final accounts.

Customer variations – site specific pricing, one off quotations, sub-contractor orders and monitoring costs.

Report on weekly sales completions.

Be aware of all codes of practice that impact on cost e.g. Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, HSE etc.

The Company:
A privately owned Buckinghamshire based house builder. They build traditional open market private housing schemes across the Midlands and build over 160 homes annually. Typical sites range up to a maximum of 30 houses per development.
They build a mixture of private and affordable housing.

The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a Quantity Surveyor,Senior QS,Commercial Manager or role in a similar house building environment. It is essential to have at least 5 years experience, as well as a driving licence.
