Futures Recruitment Services are resourcing a project manager to join the team to manage the day-to-day running of one or more projects, which may be in different areas across the organisation, on behalf of the Project Sponsor and Board.
The Project Manager has a key role in the effective planning, management of business gain, scope control, risk mitigation, quality management, and review of the project. The role will be directed by the Head of Service who will provide broad boundaries within which the project needs to operate and the outcomes it needs to deliver. However, the role will have the creative freedom to define how the project is delivered in practice to achieve these.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
* Be responsible for managing all areas of the projects under their control using a broad range of proven project management skills
* Be accountable, using their extensive organisational competencies, for organising multiple tasks with varying objectives timescales and controllable and uncontrollable pressures
* Be accountable for effectively communicating with stakeholders, managers, and staff across all levels of the organisation across a range of media and channels
* Be accountable for Managing information related to the projects, ensuring a good communications plan informs all affected parties in an effective and timely manner
* Be accountable for the monitoring of progress of the project and any specific elements that may present specific or additional risk
* Be responsible for evaluating progress of the project, drawing information from across the project team and from suppliers and users and organisations affected by the project, taking corrective action where necessary
* Be accountable for managing all budgetary aspects of the project(s) ensuring all expenditure is undertaken with probity and within the guidance of the organisation's handbook
* Be responsible for all aspects of risk management and the planning and implementation of risk management strategies that ensure successful delivery of the project(s)
* Be accountable for the successful implementation of project(s) against their original scope, taking into account variations throughout the project lifecycle, the exits strategy and review process.
* Be responsible for the day-to day supervision of all staff in the project(s) team, including identification of skills requirements, training, planning and supervision of work, risk management, health and safety and safe systems of work.
* Be accountable for all aspects of quality management associated with the project(s), ensuring outcomes are in line with scope and expectations, taking corrective action where necessary
* Be accountable for all assets used by the project team during the execution of the project(s)
* Be Accountable for the use of electronic systems and data associated with the project(s), including; security and control of licenses.
* Be accountable for ensuring all project(s) operate within the constraints of legislation
