Project Design Engineer – 6-month contract – £35 to £40 per hour – Milton Keynes

Melbreck Technical is working with a leading designer and manufacturer of special-purpose machinery and equipment based in Milton Keynes.

Due to a new project coming to fruition they are looking to bring on a Project Design Engineer on a contract for a minimum of 6 months.

I am looking for an experienced rail design/project engineer for a 6-month contract.

I have actually got a bit of time to find the right candidate, so will be asking that they meet the following minimum requirements:

Project Design Engineer – Role and Job Holder Overview:

You will be working with Rail systems so familiarity with rail pneumatic systems for ancillary braking systems is essential.

Experience with typical rail life cycle and compliance documents, i.e. LCC/RAMS and FCIL.

The validation of products is an essential part of this role, it is therefore required that the successful candidate has been responsible for the design and validation of rail products, including prototype build and testing type activities.

You will need to have had direct 3D modelling and 2D manufacture drawing creation experience.

It is crucial that you be available and happy to work in the office, up to 5 days per week to help with the validation process.
