An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HVAC Technical Manager to join one of the country's leading Facilities Management companies working around the South.
This is a key position assisting the HVAC teams in the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance and technical assistance to maintenance teams. This role will also depend on your ability to manage your client relationships. You will ensure good working relationships are maintained and built upon.
The role is responsible for the compliance of the HVAC teams to ensure reactive and planned works are completed to the highest industry standard and adhere to all regulatory standards. This role will also be responsible for overseeing all HVAC technical standards within the operational field.
The ideal candidate would have a good working knowledge, understanding and experience of the following:
Building Management Systems
Air con / VRV systems
Package HVAC systems
Gas / oil fired appliances including gas fired AHU
SFG20 maintenance specifications.
Smoke extraction and ventilation
A requirement to assist in the support of training and technical requirements will be required.
All work will need to be completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and safety policy.
To ensure that all members of the regional HVAC teams comply with statutory legislation, all Health and Safety regulations, and the company's Health and Safety Policy.
Duties
To attend training courses as and when necessary to ensure personal management and technical knowledge keeps pace with technical and business developments.
To actively promote the HVAC training strategy and ethos throughout the company, organise technical training events and provide suitably qualified coaches and mentors as and where necessary, e.g., training in new techniques or using the latest equipment.
To support the area and divisional managers in the selection of any new HVAC team members.
To oversee the development and enhancement of the HVAC service delivery, considering industry best practice and innovation, making recommendations and presenting proposed new solutions to senior management as necessary to deliver improved standards of service.
In conjunction with the senior management team, to formulate and evaluate the company HVAC strategy, policy and procedures.
To actively promote "best practice" throughout the region, i.e., ensuring consistent effective and efficient techniques, processes and procedures are adopted throughout field operations to enhance service delivery.
In conjunction with the senior management team, to formulate the business plan, agree revenue and expenditure budgets and performance monitoring procedures relating to HVAC.
To represent the company at site development, design and manufacturer meetings and to provide senior management and field operations with summaries/reports on key issues relating to HVAC.
To ensure effective written and verbal communication of all critical corporate and operational HVAC control issues within the company.
To attend regional meetings, as necessary.
To provide HVAC technical support to Head of Technical Services, Divisional Operations Managers and Area Maintenance Managers as required, e.g., advice regarding trading/major operational issues.
To sponsor and complete HVAC surveys, bulletins and technical reports as necessary and to cascade all key data to relevant personnel throughout field operations.
To ensure that all members of the HVAC team are supported regarding all Health & Safety regulations and the company's Health & Safety Policy in trade related issues
To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the senior management team.
To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
To advise the Divisional Operational Managers of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store

Basic salary – £45,000 – £50,000
