About the role
Due to expansion, a new role has been created for a Master Scheduler at our Milton Keynes hub. In this position, you will head up the Demand and Capacity Plan for our rapidly growing E-Commerce customers working closely with our manufacturing sites; warehousing and E-commerce teams to ensure optimal service level to ensure effective utilisation of UK capacity.
Responsible for reviewing capacity and sales demand to identify and act upon constraints and opportunities in line with sales forecasts and budgets, and you’ll be developing consistent reporting processes around forecasting accuracy, control of the stock management plan and actions to take with regards to the constraints and opportunities identified.
The ability to develop strong relationships is key along with leading the planning team at Milton Keynes and acting as the main point of contact between supplying sites; the UK sales and operational planning function and the divisional major account management team, creating and modifying plans to optimise our processes in line with our strategic objectives.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring compliance with the plan and managing issues where sites are not meeting the planned expectations
* Supporting the Head of the E-Commerce Supply Chain in optimising the warehousing strategy by ensuring stock is delivered to the optimum location
* Running “what if” scenarios to help with assessing strategy options and changes requested from customers
* Developing the current planning and reporting systems to be less reliant on people and provide quick and effective data that can be shared with the UK Senior Management team and the customers
About you
* Demand and Capacity planning experience in a multi-site / multi-warehouse operation.
* Experience managing small teams in a large, multi-site matrix organisation
* Demand Planning, Supply Chain or Commercial experience
* Experience of sales forecasting and ERP/MRP systems
* Knowledge of warehousing and transport, and how to optimise these areas
* Analytical, with the ability to understand data that will drive decision making in the business
* Strong MS Office skill, specifically Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
