Our client, a leading provider of engineering services to the Aerospace industry is looking for an experienced Test Engineer on a contract basis.

This role will be INSIDE IR35 with the opportunity of ongoing work.

As Test Engineer you will be expected to be experienced in, and able to carry out the following:

Common
Able to work from test plans and verbal instructions.
Working knowledge of aircraft generators or similar.
Clear reporting capabilities.
Mechanical
Able to work from technical drawings.
Be proficient in the use of hand tools and mechanical lifting devices.
Be proficient in the use mechanical measuring devices such as torque wrenches and a DTI.
Electrical
Able to work from Wiring diagrams.
Be proficient in the use of hand tools for such duties as cutting, crimping and stripping wire.
Be proficient in the use of electrical measuring equipment for fault finding and validating the test installation.
Instrumentation
Be proficient in the use of electrical measuring equipment for fault finding and validating the test installation.
Able to work from schematics and wiring diagrams.
Be proficient in connecting instrumentation both electrical and hydraulic such as Voltage, current, power, pressure and flow.
Performance testing
Be proficient in running a generator drive stand.
Record test parameters manually or via a data logging system.
