Exciting Opportunity with a leading Facilities Management company for an experienced Electrical Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes & Surrounding Areas (Company Van Provided)
Contract length: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 annually+ Additional Benefits and Competitive Overtime Rates
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer position based in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. Tasks will include carrying out day-to-day maintenance activities including PPM & reactive requests as directed by the help desk or contract supervisor.
You will be working for a leading facilities management company who specialises in a wide range of services. They manage and maintain various national landmarks, high street buildings, government sites, hospitals, and banks
Key Responsibilities:
The role is to provide operational coverage on a flexible basis between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 (40 hours per week)
To take ownership for the operation of the buildings including PPM, Re-active works, remedial works, and emergency response.
Liaise with the help desk on a daily basis, you must meet all SLA targets on PPM (99.5%) and Re-Active (99.5%) SLA's on your hand-held device.
Accurate completion of Time Sheets and Work Record Sheet with weekly submissions to the admin team.
To meet statutory compliance targets and adherence to all regulations within your area
To achieve the highest level of service to the building's occupants in the most cost effective, technically competent, and safe manner.
To coordinate and control sub-contractors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, health and safety, quality, and environmental responsibilities, and with a pro-active approach to service delivery and problem solving.
Carry out site inductions for all sub-contractors on site.
Alert your Supervisor and manager to any facilities related issues that may affect day-to-day business operations.
To effectively use your PDA and/or laptop to manage PPM and Reactive Tasks.
Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Must hold a recognised Technical qualification- 17th or 18th IEE edition wiring regulations preferred
At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within the building services sector preferred
Preferable has served a recognised apprenticeship
Good oral and written communication skills
Organised and able to meet deadlines
Must be self-motivated and be a team player
Conversant with relevant legislation and compliance issues
Proficient in Email and working knowledge of Excel and Word
Good knowledge of all aspects of Health and Safety
Must be self-motivated and be a good motivator
Should have a "Can Do" approach and portray a positive attitude
Must have good customer service skills
Is capable of climbing a ladder, working on their knees and safely able to transit around plant rooms.
