Novus Technical are currently working with one of the leading companies in the Critical Power Industry. Our client has a highly skilled team of Field Service Engineers who maintain static generators across the UK and due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their team. The company are well known for looking after their staff and providing additional training to aid the development of their engineers.
The work will include maintenance, repair, and service of a wide range of generators on customer sites. Therefore, if you are an experienced generator engineer or someone looking to pursue a career in the industry, please get in touch.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned service and maintenance of customer’s generators.
* Liaise with external departments and customers, providing support over the phone when required.
* Service, fault find and carry out breakdown repairs.
* Carry our site surveys when required.
* Comply with companies Health and Safety policy
* Take part in the company On-Call Rota.
Required skills:
* Experience with mechanical/electrical engineering or diesel fitting.
* Mechanical or electrical fault-finding experience.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Be willing to work overtime when required.
Desirable qualifications:
* A recognized qualification such as an NVQ or City & Guilds in a mechanical or electrical field.
* Qualifications such as Diesel fitting, 2391 Test & Inspection etc.
The package:
* Competitive salary (depending on experience and qualifications).
* 40 hours p/week.
* Plenty of overtime available for those wanting to work it. Time and ½ Mon-Saturday and double on Sundays.
* Company van with optional personal use.
