About the role
We are looking for a graduate engineer who will support RF and Digital product development activities as part of the growing Engineering Technology Hub, contributing to both internal development and customer funded projects. This encompasses all aspects of design, test and qualification relating to our technology roadmap, which includes: Microwave and millimetre wave products such as SSPAs, LNAs, Transmit/Receive Modules, digital beamforming networks, and related products, as well as optical transmit/receive products.
Depending on the skills and knowledge of the graduate the successful candidate will either specialise in Digital or RF design, and have an overall understanding of associated system design, however it is expected that they will develop a comprehensive understanding of interlinked technology
Some of the main responsibilities of Digital Engineering include:
Flow down of requirements to support development of digital hardware
Ability to review, analyse and optimize digital system architectures
Understanding of Digital Signal Processing
Firmware development including FPGA programming
Understanding of Software Verification practices
Some of the main responsibilities of RF Engineering include:
Understanding RF systems and components, including RF system analysis and requirements flow down
RF Design and Simulation at system and circuit level
3D EM modelling
Understanding of antenna design and selection of appropriate technology
About you
You will ideally have a degree in Bachelor's or Masters degree in a relevant Science or Engineering subject. You will have knowledge of appropriate simulation and modelling tools and techniques and knowledge of test and verification equipment and techniques. You will also be keen to develop your technical competence and be a highly motivated self-starter.
You will have a good level of IT literacy and have an awareness of production and assembly processes. The successful candidate will have excellent planning and organisational skills. You will also have good written skills and the ability to communicate cohesively with all levels within the organisation and externally. You will enjoy working as part of a team and have an enthusiastic approach to work
