Contracts Manager (Ground Investigation) – Buckinghamshire
Our clients are a national Site Investigation Specialists, Geotechnical & Environmental Consultants with offices based throughout the UK. Following substantial growth, they are currently looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to be based out of their Buckinghamshire office.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-known name within the industry with a view to progressing to Associate Director. The role will suit a self-motivated, ambitious and commercially aware person with the drive and knowledge to take the company forward.
The role involves the day to day organisation, co-ordination, supervision and undertaking of the company’s workload. This includes marketing, liaising with and advising clients, design of investigations, tendering, contract documentation, organisation/supervision of subcontractors and technical staff, site works, production of lab testing schedules, final bill measurement, etc.
Requirements:
– Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology or related subjects
– Chartered or working towards Chartered status
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the management of ground investigation contracts including: liaising with clients, design of investigations, tendering, organisation of subcontractors, drilling crews, plant, machinery, equipment, ICC and NEC Contracts and final bill measurement
– Fully conversant with BS5930/Eurocode7
– Fully competent at supervising drilling crews on site, trial pitting, logging soils, rock and chalk strata, installation and monitoring of gas/groundwater, in-situ testing, contaminated land, removal of soil waste, etc.
– Full UK Driving Licence
Package:
– £35,000 – £42,000 salary
