Production Engineer Position Overview

Our client are a cabling and connectivity solution provider focused on the ever-evolving needs of data centres. They work collaboratively with customers to create connectivity solutions tailored to their current needs and to the requirements of future networks. They then use their global operational capabilities and distribution network for fast delivery.

The Production Engineer is responsible for engineering support to the company's manufacturing facility, ensuring products manufactured are made to specification and free of any quality issues. Also to ensure existing manufacturing processes are fit for purpose with a focus on lead manufacturing and continuous improvements. The production Engineer will also support the development of the manufacturing technologies involved in realising and furthering the company's fibre optic product range.

Production Engineer Position Requirements

Experience in fibre optics and ideally, fibre optics assembly manufacturing
'Hands on' approach to understanding and solving engineering problems Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Desirable: – HND qualification or similar in Engineering, Physics or related discipline
Drive and high level of energy
Can do attitude
Good team player
Trouble shooting
Lean manufacturing

Production Engineer Position Remuneration

Training opportunities
A competitive salary of £30,000- £35,000 dependent on experience
