Our client, is a public distance Learning and Research University, and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Content Designer to join them asap until 31st July 2021, working 37hrs a week and working from home (equipment will be supplied). Hourly rate is £17.57ph – equates to £33,797pa.
About the Role
The purpose of the Content Designer role is to improve the experience of prospective apprentices and employers through identifying requirements and designing user-friendly and intuitive web pages and content covering the pre-apprenticeship-programme 'Discover' and 'Commit' stages of the apprentice and employer journeys. The plan is to create
an information and advice webspace for prospective apprentices and employers
a further website that accompanies and guides applicants through the apprenticeship application processThe ideal candidate will have experience of requirements gathering, gap analysis, writing and editing for the web, user experience design, testing and implementation. They will have the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels and manage their expectations where required.
Skills and Experience required
Experience of customer, student or apprentice support, preferable in a higher education setting
Experience of designing and creating web sites/pages and of writing, editing and organising web content and familiarity with working to style and brand guideline
Experience of conducting user testing using a range of techniques
Excellent research and planning skills with the ability to assimilate information from multiple sources and stakeholders
Experience of working independently, as well as being able to work collaboratively and as an effective member of a team
Experience of working in a project environment and leading on activities
Well-developed ICT skills and experience of using Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, Sharepoint, Online meeting platforms and tools
