MMP Consultancy are currently working with an amazing organisation to recruit four Care Assistants based in High Wycombe.

The role will be 33 hours per week with the option to pick more.

The chosen candidate will provide physical, emotional, spiritual and social support to service users within the scheme to encourage them to achieve maximum independence where possible. They will ensure that the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with the clients support policies and procedures and CQC Fundamental standards.

Key Responsibilities:
* To fulfil a range of personal care tasks and other care work for both male and female service users with various physical and emotional needs in accordance with agreed care plans and to administer medication as required in accordance with individual needs and in line with the clients support medication policy
* Assist service users in participating in activities both within the Home and outside as well as escorting them to appointments outside of the community
* Assist housekeeping staff with keeping communal areas clean and odour free
* Assist with simple food preparation on the suites and serve all meals to the service users
* Occasionally need to assist in the kitchen or laundry should the need arise
* If working a night shift, the candidate will be required to carry out specific domestic duties
* Ensure that people's assessed needs as stated in the care plan are comprehensively met
* Use computers on a regular basis to support individuals in their daily lives including access and update care management systems
* Undertake all mandatory training and all other training required

Key knowledge & Experience:
* Working as part of a team and on own initiative
* Good literacy, numerical and verbal skills
* Administer medication as required in accordance with individual need
* Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of older people living within the care home
* Ability to work flexibluy, responding to the needs of the service, ensuring that the home has 24 hour staff cover, 365 days of the year
* Minimum age 18 years old
* Must have a negative COVID test result within the last week
* Enhanced DBS
