Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer – 4 on 4 off shift pattern – Circa £42,000pa – Near Norwich

Search Engineering and Manufacturing are proudly supporting an exceptional Food Manufacturing Business on the recruitment of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled Engineering team who pride themselves on working together to ensure all the plant, equipment and services are operating efficiently at all times.

The Shifts are two days, two nights then four off working to a 12 hour shift pattern, whilst a degree of flexibility would be beneficial it is not expected.

Due to the varied nature of the automation within the unit we will be looking for a bias towards mechanical engineering experience. The Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer will be reporting to the Engineering Supervisor and throughout your shift you will regularly maintain all equipment on site whilst responding promptly to breakdowns, you'll ensure a safe working environment and full production capacity at all times whilst complying with Company policy and procedures.

Key aspects of the Mechanically Biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role will include:

* Following a planned preventative maintenance schedule for all plant and equipment
* Ensuring that all tasks carried out within the schedule are documented including activity, repairs, equipment status and the use of consumables and parts
* Promptly respond to and any plant or equipment breakdown or fault
* To effectively communicate and escalate any fault, damage or condition that cannot be rectified
* Carry out pro-active and reactive repairs in a safe and hygienic manner as stated within the company

We're looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and driven character with a passion for the food business, you will need to have a background as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within the food manufacturing industry along with experience in a similar role.

You must be able to work independently and possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, Plumbing and boiler experience would also be a huge benefit.
