Embedded Software Engineer

Job Details

Our client owns and operates the UK’s largest charging network (Polar) and has over 40,000 home chargers installed in domestic properties.

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will deliver continuous improvements and new features

Key Responsibilities & Tasks :

* Develop software and firmware for our products

* Manage software and firmware requirements

* Validate software and firmware

* Engage with stakeholders

* Document requirements, design and testing

* Investigate and fix software and firmware issues

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Science or equivalent in the field of science and engineering with 3 years of experience in embedded software and hardware development.

Other experience considered:

* 5 years of experience in embedded software and hardware development

Knowledge & Experience :

* Embedded C/C++

* Embedded Linux on ARM platforms

Experiences and skills advantageous:

* Python

* Agile

* Yocto

* OCPP

* DIN70121 / ISO15118

* Qt Framework

* Linux kernel customization and board bring-up

* Cross-compile toolchain management

* Wireless communication protocols

* Networking protocols

* SAM Microcontrollers and iMX6 processors

* EVSE standards
