Allstaff Recruitment (Milton Keynes) are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to fulfill a full-time, permanent role for a Building Engineering services company based in Milton Keynes.

The purpose of the Mechanical Design Engineer role is to work on warehouse design projects, both in the office and on site.

As the ideal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will possess the following:

* Previous experience of Building Services project design in Mechanical engineering

* Relevant evidence of your experience and understanding of design in buildings

* A strong understanding of the process and need for co-ordination with other design disciplines

* An understanding and preferably experience of sustainable design and low energy buildings

* A good understanding of QA systems

* A good understanding of the commercial factors which affect design solutions

* Competency in specification writing, design/drawing for all building types

* Knowledge of key health and safety issues and legislation

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – word, excel, etc.

* Good knowledge and a competent ability in the use of their preferred internationally recognised Design Software

* Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD

* An understanding of the relevant and current British and industry Standards

* A driving license

This role would be suitable for a candidate with at least 3 years’ experience of mechanical design processes associated with Building Engineering Services.
