Our client is a well-established market leader within the manufacturing industry. They are looking for someone who can support new tooling for new product introductions to ensure the robustness of product builds. You will work on many phases of subtasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion, while being responsible for the repair, maintenance and improvement of all tooling in line with production and customer requirements to support business objectives.
Key responsibilities
Tooling strip down and diagnosis for repair and making tooling improvements.
Support production areas in technical assessment of tooling issues.
Preventative maintenance of tooling Complete tool reports and ordering of spare parts.
Maintenance data control of moulds.
Ensure all work is undertaken to a high quality and completed to all standard regulations.
Polishing of A surface moulds to quality acceptable levels.To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
Several years experience working withing a tool room with exposure to the repair, maintenance, service and identity of faults within injection moulding apparatus.
Understanding of engineering drawings.
Understanding of manufacturing processes planning and prioritising activities.
Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain)
Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and rework.
Experience of working to tight production targets.In return you can expect:
