Data Protection Manager

Salary: £54,500 per annum

High Wycombe / Beaconsfield area – working from home currently, with the possibility of some flexible working in the future

Immediate start

Full Time, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Data Protection Manager to join them on a full time basis. You will guide and lead on data protection for the business.

Job requirements:

Be responsible for maintaining the data protection compliance framework to ensure compliance with data privacy legislation and relevant regulations /codes of practice.

*

You’ll advise the business and lead on data protection

*

Manage the compliance data assurance and reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee

*

Provide practical advice to the business on data privacy and ensure adherence to internal Data Protection policies.

*

Provide reports on data protection issues.

*

Deliver appropriate data protection training to the business with the aim of increasing business awareness/knowledge in this area.

What they are looking for:

*

Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

*

You will have experience in a data protection capacity, including advising on privacy issues, Subject Access Requests, Privacy Notices and information sharing.

*

You will likely have relevant Privacy and/or Data Protection certification (e.g. CIPP, ISEB Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection) or other relevant professional qualification.

*

You will have knowledge of and experience in the principles and requirements of the DPA 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

*

You will be experienced in providing pragmatic, commercial and creative solutions to aid compliance.

*

It would be beneficial to have experience in project management and implementing large scale initiatives.

Experience or knowledge of the housing sector is desirable and not essential to the role.
