Job Paths 4 U are seeking a highly-skilled, motivated and experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager for a Residential Children’s Home-based in Milton Keynes.

This position would suit someone who is currently working as a Team Leader or Deputy Manager in a Children's Residential Home with at least 1 year’s experience of leading a team and looking for career progression.
As the Deputy Manager, you will support the aims and objectives of the setting and assist the registered manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for children and young people with complex and challenging behaviour.
Deputy Children’s Home Manager Duties and Responsibilities include:
* Assisting the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose
* Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
* Support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people
* Undertake direct work with Children and young people as appropriate
* Be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints
* Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people
* Ensuring that each young person has an allocated key worker
* Ensuring that each member of staff is aware of each child's placement plan
* Providing managerial control and direction in relation to staff duties and responsibilities
* Assist with the recruitment and retention of staff including induction training for new staff into the home
* Supervision of new starters during their probationary period
Minimum Requirements for this role are:
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential)
* Leadership experience
* Current driving licence
* At least 1 years experience working in residential care with young people with complex and challenging behaviour
This role-based in Milton Keynes is a commutable distance from Luton, Northampton, Buckingham, Bedford and surrounding areas and is not far from the M1 /M40 motorways.

Salary: £28,750 – £31,500 per year depending on experience
