Environmental Lead Engineer  

 
This position is responsible for technical and operational leadership of the entire Environmental function throughout the business. You will take full ownership ensuring the internal management system is established, revised, and maintained while keeping detailed records and reporting to senior management.

Working for a Hi-tech manufacturing organisation at the forefront of technology, this company have ambitious growth plans on the horizon. They are in the process of releasing new products into market that will revolutionise the industry and cement them as leaders within their field. This is a brand-new position for the business. They are looking for someone to instil a new culture across the business with a positive attitude who is willing to challenge processes, you will lead from the front and implement a new way of thinking and take responsibility for any issues relating to Environmental management.

The position will be based just outside of Aylesbury but will require occasional travel to another site based in the midlands. You will have regular contact with their HQ in japan and liaise with them on projects and programs regarding environmental/regulatory and H&S.

This role reports to the Regulatory & EHS Manager and the VP of Quality and you will provide a support function to them regarding Health, safety, regulatory and quality (QMS). You will provide environmental regulatory guidance and ensure the new/revised operations/manufacturing processes are meeting the regulatory requirements by performing the effective risk assessments.

For this position we are looking for someone with a strong Environmental background in engineering with experience in a manufacturing environment. You will ideally have a degree in environmental engineering or other relevant environmental / engineering / Safety discipline. You will work closely with the health & safety lead and support them on projects. You will also have knowledge of industry audit standards such as ISO 9001 / ISO 14001, and a history of successful regulatory or environmental project accomplishments.
