Estimator

The Ffrench Group is a leading provider of services within the construction industry. The core of our business is the contracting of groundworks and civil engineering. We provide a complete service including: complex demolition, ground remediation and site clearance, groundworks and civil engineering packages – including drainage, piling and RC frames – and operate an extensive fleet of plant through our hire division.

As part of our ambitious growth plans for 2021 and beyond, we are recruiting new talent into the business and are keen to speak with an experienced construction Estimator to work as part of the team and provide the expertise for tenders and projects ranging from £350k-£5m+ in value.

Reporting to our Commercial Manager, the Estimators duties will include;

* Manage the work tender process from cradle to grave

* Undertake take-off’s and formulate and complete bills of quants

* Assessing tender requirements and provide information to commercial team

* Sourcing of costs for external works required

* Work closely with our buying team to keep abreast of latest costs

* Provide up to date costings for keeping projects within budget

* Provide regular tender updates to the management team

* Provide handover file to the construction team for all successful tenders

* Dealing with internal and external suppliers and sub-contractors

Suitable applicants will be good client facers and have 2+ years’ experience within a similar construction estimating role, having worked for a main contractor or top tier groundworks or civil engineering business, with HND or degree qualified in a construction or civil engineering discipline. Ideally you will be commutable to our office in Iver, West London.
