Graduate Project Engineer – Permanent position – £22,000 – £22,500

Our client, a UK leading engineering company, is looking for an experienced Graduate Project Engineer to support their quality team based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
£22,000 – £22,500pa
Working Monday to Friday – Some flexibility may be required
Contracted to 40 Hours per week
25 days holiday & Pension scheme
Ideally from a Graduate in Mechanical or Manufacturing engineering
As a Graduate Project Engineer, you will be a vital part in the operation; You will be predominantly
work alongside an experienced manufacturing team to lead improvement projects in manufacturing processes with the intention to reduce waste, quality losses, energy usage, manufacturing costs and increase efficiency, reliability and process safety.
Ideally you will be a graduate in an Engineering discipline, ideally in mechanical or manufacturing related fields and will have gained experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
You will need to be able to demonstrate the maintaining of timing plans, monitoring progress, ensuring MRP systems are reflective of cost estimation & effective NPI, instigate regular site review meetings of ECR/PCR changes, to work with the team to ensure engineering change & the successful implementation of projects into the business.
Core Responsibilities:
Post training; project management & engineering functions
Utilising efficiency strategies such as lean methodologies to ensure the introduction engineering change into the manufacturing processes
Effectively drive material process costs down, monitor progress, introduce cost saving ideas & process improvements
To build effective customer relationships that promote future company growth
To ensure MRP system reflects cost estimation and effective new product information
To maintain timings and work across departments to enable successful implementation of new or resourced projects
Instigate regular site review meetings of ECR/PCR changes
Experience/Skills & Competencies:
Graduate degree in Engineering, ideally Mechanical or Manufacturing
Orderly & structured approach to working practices
Flexible work ethic & assist in other areas of the business through effective autonomous work & toward inter-department team strategies
