Shawston have become a vital market leading supplier to both Mechanical Services and Fire Protection contractors and as part of Shawston’s growth and continued expansion plans, we have a position available for a Warehouse Supervisor based in High Wycombe. Ideally an individual that possesses a proven track record in Warehousing/Logistics, with the ability to energise business situations and environments. A self-starting business leader that can cope with targets and pressure to deliver. The role will be Mon-Fri working 13:00-22:00 shift patterns. (however, there is a requirement for flexibility to cover alternative shifts as and when required)
Key responsibilities but not limited to: –
·Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, supervise and oversee the steel tube operation in its entirety.
·Ensure all operations are conducted in line with standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
·Maintain stock accuracy in line with our internal KPI’s.
·Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and organisation by utilising 5S methodology.
·Continuous improvement focused and inquisitive by nature. Identifying and implementing process improvements, efficiencies, and optimisation.
·Ensure a proactive approach is taken to warehouse replenishment and maintaining healthy stock levels.
·Ensure compliance with all site HSEQ rules and regulations.
·Conduct RTW’s for warehouse personnel as required.
·Proficient in the use of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and all stock related functions.
·Encourage and motivate all direct reports to maximise engagement and productivity.
·Ensure service level issues are addressed, handled accordingly and the Branch Performance Log updated in a timely fashion.
·Conducting operational inductions and training as required, ensuring records are signed off accurately for filing and entry to the onsite training matrix.
·Deliver excellent customer service by reducing process cost, eliminating errors and adhering to set SLA's.
·Overseeing the Fittings Warehouse as and when required (sickness and holiday cover) ensuring the pick, pack and despatch operation is completed in its entirety and in accordance with internal procedures. Covering the goods in operation liaising closely with our Progress Dept ensuring the Warehouse is supporting a best-in-class service for balance management.
·Stand in for the Warehouse Manager in their absence.
Background and Experience
·A proven track record as a Warehouse Supervisor is essential.
·Competent in the use of Warehouse Management Systems – experience of Sage 200 would be advantageous.
·Exceptional people person who can engage with the team, motivate, and inspire.
·Culturally aware – the successful candidate would need to demonstrate that they have aligned themselves to the values of a company and lived and breathed these values and behaviours
·Enthusiastic, driven, proactive and focused
·Persuasive operator with excellent influencing skills
·An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop, maintain and exploit strong internal and excellent external relationships at all levels.
·Experience of Lean Six Sigma and 5S methodologies advantageous.
