Role – Senior Project Manager
Location
Home working, Chesham, Ware. Willing to travel nationally.
Essential skills and experience
* Leading strategic, high profile and high-risk projects from development/scoping through implementation to handover
* Oversee a portfolio of projects being delivered by others:
* Quality of project management and technical delivery
* Safety in design, planning and execution
* Keep projects on track – time, cost & quality
* Manage and control risk
* Coordinate workstreams and efficient use of resource
* Ensure learnings are shared and used
* Manage the resource:
* Motivate & manage teams
* Develop employees
* Mentoring and escalation route for team
* Manage resource planning, strategic allocation & identify gaps
* Initiate & lead recruitment
* Manage on-boarding & startup of new team members
* Develop the client:
* Developing positive/beneficial relationships with the client
* Lead the growth strategy & planning with the client
* Develop new opportunities, projects & business
* Lead estimation, proposals, tracking & forecasting
* Manage orders, spend, payment, etc.
* Leadership team:
* Business leadership
* Strategic business planning and development
* Developing new enquiries
* Supporting other projects
* Maintain & develop policies, procedures and standards
* Experience in food, beverage or consumer healthcare
* Chartered Engineer
* IOSH or Nebosh trained and certified

You are a qualified engineer with the ability to inspire and persuade. You have a degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: mechanical, electrical, control & automation, mechatronics, chemical or manufacturing. You may also have a general business qualification.
You have drive, curiosity and the desire to be the best in your field. In addition, a sense of urgency, the ability to multi-task, and to keep cool under pressure, is a distinct advantage. A commitment to accuracy and precision in all you undertake is essential as is the ability to know how and when to communicate to stakeholders
