Principal EMC Test Engineer
This challenging but rewarding role will see you take full ownership of all EMC activities. Working for a leading Aerospace company who are at the forefront of developing and designing smart motors used in a range of industries. You will play a key role in bringing the EMC test process in house and guide project teams on EMC qualification and development activities.
Working on a huge mix of highly technical projects you will take responsibility for test specifications, maintaining accreditation and verifying test methods. You will act as the in-house EMC test specialist in line with all EMC procedures. You will liaise with external calibration suppliers and internal customers and Produce documentation in line with ISO17025 quality requirements.
You will have a strong background in electronics with a high level of EMC test experience and the ability to mentor and supervise other engineers. This position has a lot of scope to develop as they continue to push boundaries and lead the way in the industry.
They are working hard towards a factory of the future status (industry 4.0) and are investing into future projects. Some responsibilities may include:
Working with design and development testing, including writing test procedures, test reports and performing EMC tests.
Support project teams throughout the verification and validation process.
Drive continuous improvement within test process, applying root cause analysis.
Calibration, asset management and maintenance activities in line with EMC procedures.
Responsible for the test equipment ensuring preventative maintenance and calibration activities are performed.
ISO 17025 accreditation (Technical and Quality).
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in engineering, Electrical, electronics.
An understanding of ISO17025 quality requirements.
Experience with EMC test plans.
Demonstrate leadership.
Experience in Aerospace/Defence.
Ability to obtain SC clearance
