My client, a leading company based in Denham are currently recruiting for a Shipping Clerk on a full time permanent basis paying circa £30,000.

Your role will involve –

Obtaining, checking and preparing documents to meet customs and insurance requirements to meet specifications and compliance within UK and International guidelines
Planning shipping routes to match the requirements and goods
Liaising with internal logistics team, couriers and freight forwarders
Arranging charters and liaising with MOD and DOD and other government bodies
Utilising internet and vehicle tracking systems to report progress of goods and deliveries
Liaising with external and internal parties to aid deliveries
Investigating lost or damaged reports and dealing with insurance companies
Use SAP to obtain details of goods to be shipped
You will be –

Experienced working within a shipping role for a manufactorer exporting complex products
Good knowledge of the requirements of import and export regulations
Experience of dealing with Government bodies and requirements
Familiar with basic Engineering terms
Excellent computer skills
Desirable but not essential skills –

Experience in Aerospace/Defence companies
Familiar with Dangerous Goods
Experience of SAP
