TOOL HIRE DRIVERS!!! Are you looking for a role that will give you more scope? a more relaxed opportunity with a lot of variety?

The successful candidate must have a Class 2 HGV license. Two years experience securing heavy loads with chains and straps, is essential. Must have digital tacho card and completed CPC training. This job will entail lifting and manual handling on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone experienced within the Tool Hire industry to take up a very varied role for a business where you will be valued.

The successful candidate must be proactive and articulate and have a logical approach to fault finding. You must also have great customer service skills. This is critical as you will be representing the company on a daily basis. You must have a willingness to gain a working knowledge of all the fleet for trouble-shooting purposes.

The Role

Carry out pre-hire checks – Including PDI paperwork
Deliveries and collections of fleet to customer sites.
Hand over machines to customers – Walking around machine and completing paperwork
Carry out customer familiarisation – Complete paperwork
Carry out off-hire checks and ensure paperwork is signed accordingly
Mark on any chargeable fuel and damage for invoicing (customer to be made aware of damage immediately)
Cleaning vehicles and machines inside and out at the end of self-drive and operated hires ensuring fleet is ready for next hire
Maintain vehicle maintenance log.
Follow up on any points raised on LOLER inspections and ensure job cards are raised accordingly and work is carried out.
Maintain Syrinx service reminders / Open jobs
Prepare machines for disposal Requirements

Driving Licence including Category C1 and previous experience of towing.
Must be IT literate as fleet maintenance schedules are all done electronically.
Previous mechanical experience is essential with a passion for all things mechanical!
A methodical approach and have the ability to multitask.
Must have a "hands-on" approach to all jobs needing attention. The role

Hours – 07:00 to 17:30 (1 hrs lunch) Monday to Friday
Holiday – 20 days per annum plus 8 bank holidays
