Plant Operator – East West Rail – Milton Keynes
Are you an experienced Plant Operator with earthworks and drainage experience looking for a new challenge? If so, then Murphy Group is keen to hear from you.  We have multiple opportunities with start dates in March 2021 across the Milton Keynes area to work on the East West Rail Project.  The Plant Operator will complete all tasks/activities in a safe and efficient manner ensuring that all associated standards are adhered to. Candidates must live within one hour of Milton Keynes.
The Project
The route stretches from Winslow to Bletchley and works include:
* Minor earthworks/cess tie-in  
* Embankment regrades
* Cutting regrades and widenings 
* Modular Block Retaining Wall
* Cess & Toe Retaining Wall (Post & Plank)
* Track bed reconstruction
* Construction for highways earthwork approaches
* Installation of a new track drainage system and associated off line drainage. 

The Role
* To undertake assigned activities under the direction of the Supervisor or Team Leader.
* Be enthusiastic & committed to the team's purpose and share responsibility for performance.  Ensure all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, quality & cost.
* Producing the deliverables/products to agreed specifications.
* To take care of any safety equipment / tools provided and ensure they are used correctly.
* Work as part of a team & contribute towards successful communication & positive.

Your Profile
* A minimum 5 year's experience with CPCS Excavator 360 above and below 10 tonnes (wheeled, tracked plus lifting operations).
* Quick Hitch trained is desirable
