Our client based in Aylesbury is looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team for 1-2 months, to assist them with a very busy period starting as soon as possible.
This position will be office based, however our client has regular temperature checks and social distancing in place to provide a safe working environment.
Main responsibilities include:
* Raising purchase orders to MRP in a timely manner, ensuring orders are raised correctly with accurate information to allow the purchase
* Chasing delivery shortages and requesting best price possible to keep cost under project budget
* Identifying/creating cost saving opportunities within your area
* Preparing and supporting tenders for new customer projects
* Resolving invoice queries with Finance/Supplier to ensure payments are on time
* Reacting to customer change demands effectively to pull in material to meet requirements
* Inventory management: ensuring stock is maintained at correct values / levels and managing excess inventory
* Raising part returns to suppliers for faulty parts
* Preparing reports and updates as and when required
Working hours are Monday to Friday 0830 – 1700 (1 hour for lunch)
