We are looking to recruit multiple Test Operatives for the mass COVID-19 testing programme in Buckinghamshire. We are looking for staff that are flexible Monday – Sunday, 7am – 9pm.
We will be recruiting to sites in both Aylesbury and High Wycombe, the ability to work over all sites would be advantageous and would require your own transport. However this is not essential.
The Test Operative role supports the preparation and analysis of test samples and recording of results.
The safety of the workforce and customers is the foremost priority for all testing operations; full PPE and strict infection control measures will be employed in order to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
The Test Operative will be completing the following tasks:
Test processing – Prepares test sample for analysis and interprets result.
* Receives sample and prepares for analysis, including application of reagent
* Times sample and indicate when ready for sample analysis
* Reads the result displayed, and marks it on device
Results recording – Collates results from Processing Operatives and uploads to digital solution
* Enters result onto a digital or manual solution
* Scanning of QR code (result is automatically sent to Test & Trace)
* Should subjects wait on site for their results, may provide results outcome in person
Risk management and quality assurance
* Quality assurance of colleagues’ results analysis
* Ensure safe clinical measures, including practicing of social distancing and donning and doffing of PPE, of all times
* Commitment to the work and to following the strict guideline and procedures required
You will need to have good communication skills and have experience dealing with the public. You need be professional, friendly and helpful. You will need to be team player, be flexible and work together with your colleagues to provide the services required. You will need to have a good knowledge of ICT systems including MS Word.
Shift patterns as follows:
Mon-Fri
* 1 – 8am-4pm
* 2 – 4pm – 8pm
Sat/Sun
* 10am to 4pm
