We are currently looking for a Decontamination Operative to join the team within our Milton Keynes Community Equipment Service Centre.
Our job as a healthcare equipment provider is to supply the necessary aids for day to day life. We have found that even the simplest of equipment, such as a walker or minor adaptations to the home such as handrails, can make a significant impact in giving people the confidence to live independently.
This decontamination function sits within the warehouse and involves the quarantine of community equipment that arrives back to the depot. This will involve the use of various washing systems and cleaning agents to ensure sterility.
The Role:
* Responsible for ensuring decontamination of the community equipment is done in line with MHRA guidelines
* To correctly quarantine, clean and re-pack equipment and ensure the process is correctly documented, logged and filed creating a clear audit trail
* Day to day efficient running of the decontamination area
* Assist the warehouse team when required including stock management, labelling and logging
* Continual updating of stock systems with the use of a hand held scanner
About you:
* Previous warehouse/cleaning experience would be an advantage however full training will be provided
* Computer literate – previous experience of stock management systems would be beneficial
* Excellent attention to detail
* Must be able to work off of your own initiative but also work well as a part of a team
