We are recruiting two Maintenance Operative for on-going temporary General Maintenance positions. You will be working with our client, a Maintenance Contractor, at a secure facility in the Milton Keynes area.

LOCATION: Milton Keynes

SALARY/RATE AND BENEFITS: £15.00 per hour. Likely based on an 9am-5pm, 5 day working week.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

A minimum one year of demonstrable experience as a Maintenance Operative, in a General Maintenance capacity
Understanding that you will be working within a secure facility that houses individuals unable to leave or in a vulnerable position, and the ability to remain professional at all times
Ability to resolve problems
Ability to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines
Ability to follow a maintenance schedule
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
Manual dexterity
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must pass a BBPS background check

IDEALLY YOU ALSO HAVE:

Carpentry, Plumbing or Electrical Maintenance qualifications
Experience working in a secured security facility.
Experience working with vulnerable individuals

COMPANY INFORMATION:

Our client is a well known cleaning and property maintenance company that serves London and the South East.

ROLE INFORMATION:

You will join a team of Operatives working to maintain domestic living areas within a secure facility in the Milton Keynes area. As part of a seven day a week maintenance team you will likely be expected to work a Saturday or Sunday as part of a five day working week. Duties will be varied but may include:

Ensuring domestic and commercial areas are maintained to a high standard
Assembling furniture or equipment
Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order
Minor plumbing and carpentry
Reactive Remedial works
Cleaning
