Can be homebased – This is a role for a strong 2nd / 3rd line IT and Application Support Engineer who likes the challenge of trouble shooting the difficult cases and who is looking to progress their career with an award winning innovative company who will keep your skills up to date.
You will work alongside product support engineers as an escalation point resolving support cases for external customers and internal users. The current tech stack is a relies heavily on:
* IIS
* SQL
* .Net
* RavenDB (noSQL),
* MSMQ
* Windows server
* Interoperability between components is achieved by Api's so any knowledge of Open API or Swagger would be good.
Skills required for Application Support Engineer
* Practical experience in IIS administration and configuration
* Bespoke application deployment and optimisation
* SQL queries and troubleshooting
* Windows server administration
The company works with Jira in a scaled Agile sprint based environment and work in line with ITIL, exposure to a similar environment would be useful.
An Application Support Engineer with the following are of particular interest:
* Scripting experience – Powershell, VB, Batch
* Exposure to RESTful API's
* Experience with Agile and Jira
* Cloud Services – Azure experience
