Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Full-Time/Permanent)
(Electrically Biased)
£36,000-£38,000
40 per week (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends), and it will involve working alternating shifts between 6:00am and 11:00pm (i.e. 6:30am to 2:30pm, 8:30am to 4:30pm, 2:30pm to 10:30pm).
Our continuous investment in development and business expansion has opened up an excellent opportunity for an experienced and driven Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our established team in Milton Keynes.
Duties:
Performing multi-skilled activities on machinery and equipment between electrical, electronic, mechanical and refurbishment work including breakdown, PPM and fault finding
Ensuring that all work carried out, is in line with current Codes of Practice and you will take ownership of specific improvement jobs and projects, seeing them through to successful completion.
Providing effective and efficient support to the manufacturing functions and assist in achieving maximum production efficiency levels with minimum machine downtime
Undertaking fault finding analysis, identifying root causes of plant or equipment breakdowns, and resolving the problem as swiftly as possible
Participate in projects at all stages of implementation through to commissioning including pre-delivery inspections & installation of new plant for area of responsibility.
Keeping up-to-date and complying with food hygiene, health and safety standards and quality management systems
Advising the management on continuous improvement measures to add value to the business.
Undertaking any other maintenance, engineering or other related work duties assigned to you by the Management
The hours of work areWho we're looking for:
The successful candidates will have served a City and Guilds 3 year engineering apprenticeship, along with holding a 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification.
You must be comfortable with single and three phase systems, motors, inverters, safety circuits and electrical schematics. Ideally, you will have experience in packing, blending, mixing and process machinery. PLC knowledge and knowledge on steam boiler operation would be advantageous. You must be proficient in MS Office. Experience in the food industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
