SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN
MILTON KEYNES
UP TO £40,000

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Get Recruited is exclusively recruiting for an experienced Senior IT Technician for one of our clients in the Managed Services sector that provide external support to their customers across the UK.

As a Senior Engineer you will be dealing with escalated issues and high-priority tickets. You must have strong all-round technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively, whilst being able to confidently resolve the issue. You will be given the opportunity to develop and grow within this company that has seen huge growth over the past year and looking to further expand in to 2021.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing 2nd and 3rd Line IT support both remotely and on site
Consistently maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries whilst adhering to all service management principles
Make best practice recommendations both internally to colleagues and clients
Installation of business applications and upgrades
Dealing with escalated issues from the 1st line team, whilst also mentoring
Basic IT Security support and tasks
Identifying and suggesting improvements on procedures
Training and providing advice to users with the use of Computer equipment
Supporting Cloud Services (Office 365, Azure, Cloud Backups)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Strong knowledge of Office 365
Windows OS
Administration of Exchange Server (Apply online only)
Windows Server up to 2019
Virtual Servers (VMWare/Hyper-V)
Networking knowledge (LAN/WAN//VPN)
Use of remote support tools (RDP/RMM)
Good knowledge of security technologies including firewalls, anti-virus and switches (WatchGuard, SonicWall, Cisco, Draytek)
Apple Mac (advantageous)
MCPs, MCSA or MCTIP or CCNA (certification highly desirable)
Exceptional levels of Customer Service
Full UK Driving Licence
