Experience of working with challenging behaviours is highly desirable but transferrable
skills and professions will also be considered.
A full time Behaviour Support Assistant / Behaviour Mentor opportunity has become available in a larger than average primary school in Aylesbury. The school is looking to recruit a learning support assistant with transferrable skills or previous experience supporting pupils with barriers to learning, who display challenging behaviour. Whilst supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis, as a learning support assistant, you would be expected to show a calm, caring and nurturing approach as building positive relationships is key to improving behaviour within school.
If you are a graduate of Psychology, come from a profession with transferrable skills or have experience of working with children with challenging behaviours through social work or care work, you would be welcomed to apply for the role too.
