Display Technology Engineer
Working on next generation display and holographic technology this role will work with a range of areas from Head up displays, augmented reality and LIDAR technology. Combining research and practical hands on development this unique role will work with Liquid Crystal on Silicon and special light modulator technology developing future products for a range of applications.
You will join a mature start-up who have a solid order pipeline ahead of them with products being used and tested on a global scale. They are growing rapidly with technology which is way ahead of anything else on the market with the long-term possibility to be used in a multitude of different sectors. At the moment the key market is automotive where their patents are allowing vehicles to become smarter and safer!
The role will focus on display technology but will also combine a systems approach where you will be involved with hardware and software development in a team environment taking projects from concept to completion.
For this role you will need:
– A PhD or MSc in Physics/Electronics ideally with a focus on image/signal processing, cameras or display systems.
– A strong understanding of working with Display Devices preferably Liquid crystal based or TFT, LCD and or LCOS.
– Low level system appreciation with electronics and software skills.
We will be happy to look at candidates straight out of a PhD or with industry experience.
The company can offer a great benefits package and relocation assistance if needed. Although the role can offer some remote working you would need to be able to travel to the site in Milton Keynes on a weekly basis
