Head of Sales – Refurbishment Contractor

The Client:

A regional firm that has grown exponentially in the last five years. They operate as a principle contractor, where they have forged strong relationships across both public and private sectors. Recent projects range from full commercial office fit-outs, to small works projects in schools to £2m+ renovation projects for office blocks. This role will take responsibility for their commercial building projects.

The Role:

In this new role for the business, you will play a leading role in the design and implementation of the sales strategy for the next five years. For the first few months, this is a hands-on role where you will get to grips with existing tender and framework opportunities within the immediate pipeline while leading the pursuit of new projects. After that, you will need to start building your team of Business Development Managers. There will be significant investment in this side of the business where you will target high-margin business with commercial/corporate clients across all sectors from Retail, Hospitality, Commercial Office Blocks and Leisure. It’s expected that your sales team will grow in size to 8 – 10 across the country.

The Person:

It’s likely that you are a hands-on BD professional with leadership experience. It’s preferable if you have had experience in a similar role with a refurbishment contractor.

The Rewards:

A basic salary of around £75 – 85,000 is on offer. A full benefits package including company car or car allowance is included.
