Permit Coordinator (HS2)
Contract: Initial 6 months with a view to going permanent
Salary: £22,000 – £24,000
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am-5.00pm
Location: Aylesbury, HP20 1UA
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate with good coordination skills to support our road space management team in Aylesbury. As part of the impact of HS2 on the borough, you would be responsible coordinating day to day permit applications associated with HS2 requirements to maintain free flow of traffic, minimise congestion and avoid conflicts on the highway. Your primary role will be to assist the Senior Permit Officer to ensure that the Permit Scheme operates effectively. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and previous experience in a role that required multi-tasking of urgent administrative duties.
The successful candidate will have;
Excellent communication skills
Proven organisational skills within a demanding administrative role
Ability to work well as part of a team
Experience of communicating with high profile stakeholders (eg) local authority
Good geographical knowledge of Buckinghamshire area
Good IT Skills (eg) MS Office, Outlook + bespoke systemsYou would be responsible for;
Responding to routine enquiries from utilities, HS2, contractors and the general public in connection with the Permit Scheme and other NRSWA, TMA, HS2 issues
Helping to resolve any invoice / charge enquiries and disputes
Maintaining the Street Works Register and participate in all routine office activities
Assisting with the input of text and data for a variety of purposes and to maintain specific record systems
Providing the necessary liaison of permit conditions prior to granting or refusing the permits
Ensuring all processes and systems are applied consistently across the county
