Support Worker – Gangs and Offending
We have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join a Young People’s service based in Milton Keynes, supporting those involved in Gangs and Offending. The service users are housed in a supported living service. The service users have a variety of support needs and different challenges. Many of them have complex support needs including mental health and substance misuse. They have a variety of life experiences including being subjected to sexual exploitation. Many of the service users are care leavers, unaccompanied asylum seekers or have experienced a family break down. Some of them need pre and post pregnancy support. The service works with multi -agencies and statutory agencies to ensure the best possible support for the service users.
The Support Worker post is permanent, and the salary is £22,543. The hours of work are 5 days a week with flexibility required to cover shifts although you will predominantly be covering a range of day shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to consolidate and develop their experience supporting vulnerable young people. Previous experience in a similar role working with young people/young adults is desirable. We will consider people who have worked in similar posts with adults.

NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role working with young people or with mental health, sexual abuse, human trafficking, or substance misuse
