Job Title – Internal Quality Assurance Manager
Location – Remote based
Rates – £395.43 a day via LTD / Umbrella OR £345.26 a day via PAYE
In Scope of IR35 – 3 month contract
About the role:
To maintain the implementation of the quality management system at programme / major project level, covering all project related functions and activities. Address all matters affecting quality.
This role will be assisting in organising and managing around 8000 frontline operational employees using the Oracle Competence Management System
Your experience will include:
*Monitor so that specific projects undertaken by the programme are managed according to the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP) and all relevant Company Standards and Standard Project Procedures.
*Audit the implementation of the procedures and standards required to achieve a cost effective and safe engineering approach on all projects and renewal/maintenance schemes.
*Provide an independent audit role to the Digital Rail programme on quality matters and arranging for inspections as required.
*Act as lead auditor for programme when required.
*Exercise functional quality responsibility for the programme teams monitoring the quality of the work performed by staff, consultants and contractors employed on the projects by systematic audit.
*Work with relevant managers to integrate quality requirements with the provision of systems and contractual arrangements.
*Monitor so that adequate procedures are established within their programme.
*Manage the National Integrated Audit Programme for the programme, monitoring so that multi disciplined audits are performed.
*Monitor so that briefings are carried out in accordance with procedures and standards.
*Provide input into the Quality section of the contractor assurance case approvals process as required.
*Manage quality performance indicators.
Essential
*Computer literate and experience in Microsoft Excel
*Relevant successful experience of quality, ideally with involvement in construction projects across multi-disciplinary areas;
*Membership of a relevant Professional Institution;
*IRCA Lead Assessor qualification;
*A comprehensive knowledge of Quality and auditing techniques;
*Training in environmental awareness- an appreciation of environmental and safety issues in project work;
*Comprehensive knowledge of GRIP
Desirable
*Experience in Oracle
*Understanding of procurement and contracting strategies and supply chain management;
*An appreciation of the structure of the railway industry and its basic operations;
*Six Sigma Green Belt
*Nebosh Certificate.
