You're an experienced Electronics Design Engineer who wants full cradle to grave project responsibility and end to end coverage in developing new products. We're a leading developer of environmental equipment and instrumentation and at our site in Bedford, you can expand your knowledge and application of fast developing areas of electronic engineering such as sensors, IOT, biometric & cloud based technologies.
BASIC SALARY: Up to £55,000 dependant on your relevant practical experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: Electronics Design Engineer : Sensor technology – IOT

We have a clear vision and product roadmap for where we want our technology to be. We can give you direct exposure to the following: sensor technology, IOT, cloud-based technology, communication protocols such as Bluetooth, wireless charging points, battery packs, SMPS, digital signal processing and much more.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Electronics Design Engineer : sensor technology – IOT
· In a nutshell, you'll design all analogue and embedded electronic circuitry
· Alongside your fellow engineering team, you'll work closely with the marketing department & Product Managers to deliver new product concepts
· You'll work to recognised product and international standards i.e. CE Marking
· Help to develop our in-house test equipment
· Create & manage all design specs, documentation and handbooks
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Electronics Design Engineer – sensor technology – IOT
· You'll have a degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in Electronic Engineering
· You will have a proven track record in an R&D environment where you will have designed, developed and tested new wireless electronic products &/or instrumentation
· You'll must have hands on experience of electronic circuit design from concept – we need you to bring these skills to us
Any further exposure you may have to sensors, signal processing, SMPS, IOT or battery packs would be most useful to our business now and in the future.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: electronics, electronic engineer, design, product development, physics, firmware, analogue, digital, circuit, embedded, microelectronics, microprocessor, Arduino, schematic, CADSTAR, ORCAD, Pspice, sensor, IOT, battery, SMPS, power electronics, signal processing, biometrics.
