Service Engineer (Mobile)

Our client is based in Basildon and they are looking for a skilled Mobile Service Engineer to join their team.

This position will be mobile and the ideal candidate will have a UK driving licence to be able to travel to different sites.

The Role:

The role of Service Engineer will involve mobile repairs, maintenance and servicing of units at our clients yards around different areas.

This will require travelling to yards and sites, dealing with Site Managers and client representatives.

The role will require key skills and experience of working on small generators is required along with a Gas Safe certification. The role will be based at various location of work, on client sites and/or yards as dictated by the business needs. The role will require nights out when necessary.

Record Keeping:

Part of the position will be to ensure all in-house and regulatory paperwork must be accurately completed these include:

Service Work Sheets on works undertaken on site
Gas Inspection Records
Van stock sheets
Vehicle maintenance and regular fluid/pressure checks When working in our yards:
Relevant sections of the Production Process including signing for all works completed
Noting deficiencies in previous works on Production sheets
Completing timesheetsProcedures:

Travelling to and from yards and client locations
When working in our depot/yards considering all actions detailed within the Production Process Cleaning and painting of units
Replacing batteries and gas bottles
Inspection of water systems, all locks and electrical fittings Servicing generators as required
Upgrading units in accordance with issued programs
Internal/external decoration and general maintenance of units
Any general duties required by the business to maintain safe working practices in accordance with specified company procedures.
Repairs, maintenance, and servicing of units whilst on site to ensure reliable operation of unit
Inspection, servicing, and maintenance of gas installations Self-managing and inspecting work conducted on plant fleet
Liaise where necessary with third parties regarding technical advice Van maintenance and checking including van stockQualifications:

You must hold the following qualifications:

Either CCLP1 (LPG Core Safety) or CCN1 (Domestic Gas Core Safety) qualified

A Gas Safe registration must be maintained.

The company will pay associated costs as necessary.
