We are currently working with a number of forward-thinking Local Authorities who require several experienced interim Consultants in Public Health. The sucessful individual will help drive forward with the ongoing response to COVID-19 and other general Public Health Issues. We are looking for consultants with at least 2 years’ experience working as a consultant in Public Health and who has a minimum 5 years in front line Public Health positions. The contracts will be on an ongoing basis starting at 6 months as a minimum.

The post holder will support the Director of Public Health to provide leadership

and strategic direction for the council to improve and protect health and

wellbeing and reduce inequalities by identifying needs and priorities; and

commissioning, managing and evaluating services. This will require engagement

with a wide range of stakeholders at a strategic and senior level both inside

the council and externally, to build joint approaches to improving and

protecting health.

Requirements

* Inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List/UK Public Health Register

* (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists.

* A proven track record of delivering high profile Public Health agendas.

* Experience of working within a large local Authority or NHS Trust.

* Public Health expert knowledge.
