We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Procurement Team. This role is a permanent contract for a Head of Procurement and will:
Provide category leadership and procurement best practice, across designated categories of spend, as directed by the Procurement & Property Director.
Determine and deliver best practice, new contract savings, opportunities, manage supplier performance and mitigate business risk.
Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels to support supplier service to the business and delivery of the procurement strategy.

Additional Information
Additional requirements include flexibility and willing and to respond to the needs of 24-hour operation in terms of working hours, and provide support away from the normal location of work on occasion as required by the business.
Essential Skills
Good technical and commercial appreciation of the range of procurement categories.
Ability to negotiate at the highest levels with suppliers with an analytical and commercial approach.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in order to: influence internal and external stakeholders and disseminate information appropriately through the company hierarchy adapting communication style in line with audience and situation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work to conflicting, frequently demanding, deadlines for self and others. Able to manage effectively in order to achieve daily and weekly tasks through organisation, delegation and prioritisation.
Able to produce consistently accurate work with a high level of attention to detail even when working under pressure. A "right first time" mentality.
Able to interpret financial and performance data in order to draw conclusions, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions. Understanding of budgeting, financial planning and business case production.
Self-motivated, with the ability to appropriately question and challenge the accepted norm in order to drive continuous process improvement.
Able to work effectively as a part of a team demonstrating a hands-on, energetic style with a 'can do, will do' attitude.
IT Literate – proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate MS PowerPoint, and Excel skills for data analysis and presentation in order to influence business cases.Desirable Skills
Recognised as a procurement or supply chain expert we would estimate that it would take approximately 3-5 years' experience in a similar role with experience in a fast-paced multi-BU environment to acquire these skills.
CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualified preferred but not essential.
Educated to Degree Level or equivalent.About Company
