About The Role
The role of the Control Room Coordinator is to deliver scalable and holistic logistics, security and support functions to enable construction across areas of the new HS2 network.
You will monitor and intervene to minimise delays and disruption across your designated area. Problems can originate from the road network and areas that fall within the management of Operational Support; Unexploded Ordnance, Vehicle Breakdowns, Road Closures etc. You will handle data exchange with Subcontractors and Suppliers, provide information to the Client (HS2) and coordinate resources in response to incidents and demand increases.
About The Candidate
You will desirably have experience in one (or more) of the following areas to reinforce the delivery of Operational Support:
Vehicle compliance (FORS/CLOCS/Tpt Mgr CPC etc.)
Emergency response (Military/Blue Light etc.)
Hospitality management (Events/Accommodation/Catering etc.)
Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) management.
Temporary Traffic Management (TTM).
Resource distribution planning and/or management (Waste, Water, Fuel etc.).
Public transport service planning and/or management.
Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) management.As part of HS2’s commitment to up skilling Operational Support professionals, you will either hold or work towards an appropriate nationally recognised standard endorsed by the Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport, the Institution of Civil Engineers or other relevant professional body.

Skilled communicator

Strong planning skills
Ability to handle multiple projects
Experience in Operational Support
Knowledge of Civil Engineering projects
