Research Software Engineer

Up to £50K

Working on the bleeding edge of technology, this company are using research from universities to ensure their products stay ahead. This is an extremely varied role on the ground floor of technology for this business. As part of a small but growing R&D team, you will be working on concepts and ideas from research that no other company in the country will be working on.

In this position, you will be filling the funnel with these research ideas and developing them to a level where the software team are able to implement them in the mainstream products. 

The successful candidate would be working with highly complex medical imaging concepts and implementing these into algorithms. Part of the role would be using your insight to decipher the data and create a suitable algorithm.

You might have a Physics, Maths or scientific background, with particular interest in medical or computational Physics. You might have PhD / research experience or you could have a BSc/ MSc plus some industry experience. A Software Engineer with a strong mathematical background would also be considered.

Requirements:

Strong degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in STEM area.

C++ or C# experience

Desirable:

Medical or computational Physics background

Novel CT algorithm development (Phase contrast)

Experience with inverse problems
