Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and sort information sources for data amalgamation and entry, including organising the information in a manner that will optimize rapid and accurate capturing of data.

2. Transfer and input data about IT assets into a database application.

3. Check to ensure the accuracy of the data that is being submitted.

4. Identify and highlight discrepancies in information, obtain further information for incomplete documents.

5. Respond to information requests from authorised members (e.g. IT Technical Operations manager, Service Desk).

6. To inform relevant parties regarding errors encountered.

7. To store hard copies of data in an organized manner as required and create data backups as and when required in a secure manner for data recovery scenarios.

8. To attend meetings about the management of data as requested.

9. To ensure that all documentation relating to the data capture activity is managed and stored effectively in keeping with University standards.

10. To produce basic reports to retrieve data as requested, to check the accuracy of information and to track the progress of data cleansing activity.

11. To ensure that that all information is managed securely in accordance with University policies and information security related legislation.

12. To handle additional duties from time to time which are commensurate with the role.
